Third Level Educational Bursary Scheme
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.
The scheme will be know as The Newbridge Credit Union Third Level Educational Bursary Scheme.
2.
The bursary shall consist of three separate awards in each year as set out below:

Level 6 - €1000 per annum

Level 7 - €1500 per annum

Level 8 - €2000 per annum

The above levels are as set out in the 10 Level Framework of the National Qualificiations Authority of Ireland set up in 2001, which is an agency of the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
4.
Applications are open to all students entering 1st year Third Level Courses (including Mature Students) who are members of Newbridge Credit Union on or before the 31st August in each calendar year.
5.
The bursary recipients will be determined by an open draw for each level and is not performance based (i.e. not based on Leaving Certificate results)
6.
Only one application per person is permissible and accordingly only one bursary per student will be awarded at any one time.
7.
Proof of acceptance of the applicants chosen course must be provided to the Credit Union.
8.
The payment of the second and subsequent years of the bursary will be dependant on the student -
-
Achieving satisfactory results in the previous year
-
Official confirmation that the student is continuing with the studies in the same course, and
-
The bursary recipient having maintained their Credit Union account in good standing.
9.
The winning student(s) will receive a Certificate and a cheque, presented to them at a function in Newbridge Credit Union.
10.
The closing date for submission of the completed applications is the 1st of September in each bursary year. Applications should be submitted by hand, fax, post or email as outlined below:

11.
The draw for the winning bursaries will be made in early September and the results announced immediately in each bursary year.
12.
The decision of the Board of Directors of Newbridge Credit Union Ltd. concerning the foregoing Terms and Conditions or any matter arising from the scheme will be final and not subject to appeal.
